Taupo has been amazing so far. As Darcy said I do stand at the bar and look pretty but what she didn’t mention is how many glasses I bus and wash haha. Today we went to “Craters of the moon” it’s a neat geothermal area outside of town. The steam erodes the rocks over time leaving steaming craters. I hope to have the pictures uploaded soon. After the craters we went to a waterfall known as Huka falls. It’s only a 9 meter waterfall but the cool part is it goes through a narrow channel downhill really fast before it falls so it is an immense amount of water. It’s something like 6 Olympic swimming pools a minute. We had a pretty successful tourist day. To be completely honest though I think the most exciting thing we did today was buy tickets to Rhythm & Vines. It’s a music festival in Gisborne which is on the east coast of New Zealand. The festival goes for 3 days and ends on new years day. The festival is right on the coast which is awesome because Gisborne is considered to have the first sunrise of the new year anywhere in the world and I can’t think of a better place to see that than with 20,000 other people jamming out to Flux pavilion live. Also for any hop hop fans Wiz Khalifa will be there as well. I’m so excited!!!! It’s a big part of our travel budget but I think we would regret not going. That’s all for now, I hope all is well back home.
miss you guys,
